Some are from the Pflüger winery's own vineyards, and some are purchased from friendly winemakers. Common to all of them is the Bunter sandstone soil, typical of the Palatinate, which conducts heat well and produces ripe grapes and a spicy minerality. To harvest ripe grapes in autumn, winemaker Alexander Pflüger has been working according to biodynamic principles since 2008, refraining from artificial fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides. He aligns with the cycle of the seasons and the moon, working as close to nature as possible. The Pflüger winery is Demeter certified.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe harvesting of the purchased Riesling grapes often takes place in several picking rounds. In the winery's pressing house, located opposite the saltworks in Bad Dürkheim, the grapes are gently processed. The mash is pressed with gentle pressure, and the must is spontaneously fermented.
