Rosé Wine Vinegar – Martin-Pouret from France

The Martin-Pouret Rosé Wine Vinegar is a French Vinaigre d'Orléans Vin Rosé with fragrant notes of light red berries, such as strawberries and raspberries, and a delicious spicy taste.

Thanks to its slow fermentation of 3 weeks in oak barrels and its maturation in the cool vinegar cellars in Orléans, this rosé wine vinegar, which uses a selection of the best IGP rosé wines from the Mediterranean as its base, preserves the heritage of centuries-old expertise and offers a wonderful, unique taste with aromas of red berries, a hint of vanilla from the wood barrel aging, and 6% acidity.

This rosé wine vinegar provides an intensely fruity-sour taste experience. It is perfect for fresh salads, many vegetable, fish and seafood dishes, and refines light meat as well as pasta and potato salads.

Once, the city of Orléans was the stronghold of vinegar production in France; even the king recognized the special quality of Orléans vinegar in a decree in 1590. However, of the 300 vinegar manufacturers, only one remains: Maison Martin Pouret. Since 1797, they have been producing high-quality vinegar there in the traditional way, which is still allowed to mature in wooden barrels. David Matheron and Paul-Olivier Claudepierre, who took over the vinegar house in 2019 and are proud of a unique heritage, the tradition of the great vinegar masters, which they are now allowed to continue.
