Color Worlds, ten doors into our range
The Color Worlds are ten curated collections that sort our range for visual pleasure. Wine, chocolate, oil, honey, and soap come together when they belong to the same color palette – from white through pink to gold. An invitation to browse our shop differently: not by category, but by mood.
Color Worlds is our sorting experiment: ten themed collections in which our roughly 7,000 items come together not by product type, but by color. Whether it’s the label, the bottle, the packaging, or the product itself that carries the color – if you’re looking for a gift basket in red, a breakfast in yellow, or a host gift in pink, you will find exactly what you need at a glance.
Why colors instead of categories?
Delicacies are traditionally sorted by product type: wines with wines, oils with oils, chocolate with chocolate. That’s clear, but it doesn’t help much if you want to put together a pink crate for a friend or a black-themed greeting for a host.
That is exactly what our Color Worlds are for. They don't follow the product shelf, but the eye. Someone setting a birthday table in red isn’t thinking in categories, but in scenes – and the scene might be: a bottle of red wine, a red chutney, a praline in red paper. Three products from three categories that suddenly create a cohesive picture.
The Color Worlds are our answer to the question of how to move through a large assortment without getting lost. Choose a mood, choose a color, and let yourself be guided.
Ten colors, ten moods
Each of our Color Worlds has its own character – some are quiet, some are loud, some are morning-like, some are evening-like.
White is our light space with champagne, white chocolate, and fine soaps. Yellow shines like a lemon: lemonade, lemon-zest butter, pasta al limone. Orange brings joie de vivre to the table – carrot juice, apricot jam, carrot-ginger soup.
Pink carries tenderness, from Cava Rosé to Biscuits Roses de Reims. Red is the warmest color, with tomato chutney, red vermouth, and pomegranate chocolate. Violet stands for quiet elegance: lavender honey, Figue Violette, grappa pralines from South Tyrol.
Blue sounds like the sea on the plate – Muscadet sardines, white wine, sparkling tea from Copenhagen. Green is the kitchen garden, with olive oil from Andalusia, verjus from the Kamptal, and a fig and green tomato chutney. Black carries depth: lava salt from Iceland, salty licorice from Sweden, Cuvée red wine from the Palatinate. Gold crowns the evening – truffles, award-winning gold chocolate, balsamic vinegar with a medal.
Manufacturers wander through the colors
You will encounter some of our producers in multiple Color Worlds, and that is no coincidence. Craftsmanship shows itself in all colors.
Thomas Kohl from Unterinn in Ritten presses apple juice in white, red (Rouge), orange (with carrot), and black (with blackcurrant) – an apple affineur in four colors. "A good juice shows the variety, not just the taste," Thomas explains. Jörg Geiger from Schlat on the Swabian Alb fans out his non-alcoholic Prisecco in rosé, red fruit, white, and mirabelle gold – four colors, one house.
The Alpinara family from Alpe Pragas in Prags carries their fruit spreads through almost the entire spectrum: green gooseberry, orange, plum, blackcurrant, raspberry-rhubarb. And Erich Stekovics in the Burgenland Seewinkel supplies the matching color for every dinner from his three thousand tomato varieties, as he likes to emphasize. This makes it visible: color does not lead away from the signature, it expands it.
Color Worlds for gifting
A crate in a single color acts like a closed picture. The recipient opens the box, and everything fits together: jar, bottle, label, wrapping paper, ribbon. No false note breaks the harmony.
For the host, a red crate with vermouth and tomato chutney. For a friend, a pink crate with Prisecco and biscuits. For the gourmet, a black crate with lava salt and Cuvée red wine. For Mom, a gold crate with truffle salt and award-winning chocolate. We are fascinated by how color alone turns five individual gifts into a composition – without us having to explain a thing.
Our tip: First, look at what color the recipient likes to wear or has in their kitchen. The crate will match the wall, the tablecloth, the mug. This turns a gift into a little still life.
Browsing for visual pleasure
Choose your color and enter the room. Behind every Color World, a unique mood awaits – quiet or loud, playful or serious, morning-like or evening-like.
Together, the ten worlds create a color shelf that shows the full breadth of our assortment – just based on a different principle than usual. White, yellow, orange, pink, red, violet, blue, green, black, gold. Ten doors, one shop, and behind every door a different room.
Get involved – we look forward to seeing you. That’s how browsing should be.
