Faber Delicatessen – Sausage in a Jar
The best sausage in a jar, and Franconian at that, comes from Faber Feinkost, a family-run artisan butcher shop from Bad Kissingen. You can probably count the butcher shops founded in Germany as early as Faber Feinkost in 1898 on one hand, and this alone speaks volumes about the high quality and delicious taste of their jarred sausages, such as the finely seasoned Mettwurst, Bauernleberwurst, fine veal liver sausage, or liver sausage with truffles.
Faber Feinkost – with Tradition into the Future
Since 2005, Thomas Faber, a business economist, trained chef, and meat sommelier, along with his charismatic wife Johanna, has been leading the company in its fourth generation. With the excellent recipes of his parents and grandparents and a wealth of tradition, the two have managed to make "the" go-to gourmet destination in Main Franconia, Bad Kissingen, with their modern daily restaurant Faber am Ostring, the freshly renovated original delicatessen store, the cooking and grilling school with Meating Room, and the regionally active catering service. Of course, the two don't achieve this alone; they have a superb team of 60 highly motivated employees supporting them.
