Pflüger Winery – good wines from the Palatinate
At Pflüger Winery you will find good wines from the Palatinate. Alexander Pflüger, who took over the winery from his father Bernd in 2010, passionately continues the philosophy of the family winery. At Pflüger Winery in the beautiful Palatinate wine village of Bad Dürkheim, located opposite the saline, there is a return to traditional values: do less, let more happen. This requires the winemaker's attention, observing nature and understanding what it needs: biological diversity and vitality in the vineyards. Alexander's goal is to bring out the original character of a wine. After all, he cultivates very different sites in Dürkheim, Ungstein, and Wachenheim. Even though they are only a few kilometers apart, each site has its own microclimate and surprises with the diversity of its soils. And it is precisely these differences that Alex Pflüger makes palpable. Here, opulent Ungstein wines, grown on heavy limestone soils, meet elegant Dürkheim wines from quartzite. The wines from Pflüger Winery, whether from Dürkheimer Michelsberg, Spielberg, Fuchsmantel or Fronhof, or from Ungsteiner Herrenberg or Königsbacher Ölberg, all show their origin in the best sense. But not only the winery's magnificent single-vineyard wines from the Palatinate provide great drinking pleasure; the estate wines from quartzite or colored sandstone, such as Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Riesling, as well as the wonderful Blanc de Noir, are also enjoyable in the glass.
