Eva Solo – Nordic Kitchen - Danish Design
Eva Solo A/S was founded over 100 years ago by Kai Rohde Fog and today shapes the Eva Solo Nordic Kitchen style. In 1939, the company was handed over to his son Erik Mangor, who launched the successful citrus press on the market. Today, the family business, which is dedicated to Danish design, is managed in its fourth generation by, among others, Jan Engelbrecht, whose maternal grandfather named the company after his daughter Eva in 1950. However, the name Eva Solo did not emerge until 2010 following the sustained success of a small range of kitchen utensils, the so-called Solo goods.
Eva Solo – functional Danish design
The modern design brand, with around 60 employees and its headquarters in the small Danish town of Måløv, northwest of Copenhagen, works with renowned Danish designers such as Ole Palsby, who developed the Eva Trio pot and pan series in the 70s, the design studio tools design, and furniture designer Thomas Pedersen. Over the years, Eva Solo has already received more than 200 internationally recognized design awards, including the iF Product Design Award, the Good Design Award, and the Red Dot Design Award.
The goal of the company Eva Solo has always been to manufacture everyday objects of the highest quality through functional design and to make them better than what was already available on the market. Among the most popular Eva Solo products are:
