Weingut Herbert Zillinger – Weinviertel
The Herbert Zillinger Winery is located in Austria's largest wine region, the Weinviertel – more precisely in Ebenthal, about 70 km northeast of Vienna, very close to the Slovakian border. Perhaps this is why Herbert Zillinger has become a trailblazer, also in terms of his wines. Because one thing is clear: the wines from the Herbert Zillinger Winery are radically different.
Weingut Herbert Zillinger – Radically different
In 1998, the young Herbert took over his parents' winery with a vineyard area of 7 hectares. Since 2005, he has had Carmen, a strong woman, by his side, not only in his private life, but also as a well-rehearsed team at the winery. They want to work as close to nature as possible, which is why they work biodynamically. Quality and diversity are important to them, so they give their wines time and space to become what they are: unique creations with character – honest with depth, calm yet expressive. The wines from the Herbert Zillinger Winery are new territory for some; they broaden horizons, are radically different: puristic, uncompromising, origin-conscious.
