Provence Tradition – Herbs of Provence
Provence Tradition offers Herbs of Provence that truly originate from Provence. Vincent Mignerat, owner of Provence Tradition, is convinced that without the farmers who shape the landscape by cultivating herbs, Provence would not be as beautiful or attractive as it is. For him, there is no better way to pay tribute to them and market their products. "What a pleasure to share these flavors and find new ways to highlight the richness of their aromas!" Vincent expresses. "This has been my goal for 25 years, and I am delighted to contribute in my own way to the development of sustainable agriculture in Provence."
Provence Tradition was founded in 1987 and is located in Avignon, in the heart of the production region. They specialize in selling authentic, locally grown Herbs of Provence, such as lavender, rosemary, oregano, basil, thyme, bay leaf, and bouquet garni, thereby promoting the preservation of a centuries-old tradition and the conservation of Provençal herbs. The herbs marketed by Provence Tradition now account for almost 75% of Provençal production and are of incomparable quality. The company also offers salt flavored with herbs.
Provence Tradition works hand in hand with a new generation of herb farmers organized into cooperatives. They share the same love for the Provençal land, the same confidence in the unique quality of the herbs, and the same desire to maintain an ancient and precious expertise.
Provence Tradition – three principles for quality
- Herbs with exceptional aromas
Our herb farmers select the best herb varieties from Provence, cultivate them in their preferred soils, and harvest them at the optimal time to obtain plants with a very high content of essential oils. This guarantees an incomparable taste.
- Promotion of a strict production system
Provence Tradition adheres to the principles of environmentally conscious agriculture. The herbs are dried quickly under optimal conditions and promptly packaged.
- Traceability is ensured
By establishing an effective traceability system, Provence Tradition can trace every product sold back to the harvest and even to the seeds.
