The Illusionist Distillery
The Illusionist Distillery from Munich distills what is arguably the most famous color-changing gin: deep blue in the bottle, delicate pink as soon as tonic is added. In 2015, Max Muggenthaler and Tim Steglich spent almost a year tinkering with the recipe made of sixteen botanicals; it is distilled in a copper still in Hohenbrunn near Munich. The color comes from the butterfly pea blossom, not a paint pot.
