Gorilla Coffee – A. Joerges Private Roastery
Gorilla Coffee is the coffee brand of A. Joerges Private Roastery. It is a top German roastery that has been importing and roasting coffee beans since 1847, first in Giessen, then later in Frankfurt am Main. In 1982, brothers Andreas and Peter Hühsam took over the company and developed the Joerges Gorilla Coffee brand. The gorilla stands for strength and enjoyment, a connection to nature, and serenity.
Joerges Gorilla Coffee – Diversity that delights
To cater to customers' preferences regarding blend, roast, and preparation method, there is classic filter coffee (the green coffee house blend), exquisite blends of Robusta and Arabica coffee for automatic coffee machines, Italian espresso makers and portafilter machines (silver 60/40, red (80/20)), or the black espresso Gorilla Crema No 1 made from 100% of the best high-grown Arabicas. So, with Joerges Gorilla Coffee, you're sure to find your favorite whole bean coffee, whether you want to prepare espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, or filter coffee.
In the traditional drum roasting process, the beans are roasted by variety in a long-term roasting process, lasting between 12-20 minutes depending on the variety, allowing the aromas, flavor nuances, and appearance of the coffee beans to develop optimally. Only afterward are the blends mixed. Experience and craftsmanship, intuition, and a pinch of passion are crucial here. All Gorilla coffees are characterized by an ideal roast profile with a full body, mild or strong taste, and soft or firm crema, depending on your preferred preparation method.
