Helmut Wermut – from Hamburg
Helmut Wermut is a German premium vermouth from Hamburg. Since 2017, Markus Weiß and Nils Liedmann have been lovingly handcrafting their HELMUT Wermut. The wine aperitif is based on Palatinate wines from the winemaker Bergdolt-Reif & Nett, complemented by 25 different botanicals, including wormwood, of course, but also fresh fruits, flowers, herbs, and spices. These give Helmut Wermut its tasteful character, with strong fruit and pleasant bitter notes.
Helmut Wermut – for Jan and all men
By the way, the vermouth from these two Hamburg natives isn't just for men, as all three varieties have their own unique aroma and vary in bitterness intensity. While the "White" combines the mild sweetness of orange blossom with floral notes of lavender and fresh meadow herbs, the "Red" impresses with the strong fruit of ripe blackberries and spicy aromas of bay leaf and rosemary. The NEW Rosé is not as strong as the Red and not as sweet as the White, making it perfect for summer. Vermouth is great as an aperitif, as a mixed drink with tonic, ginger ale, or Aranciata Rosso, and as an ingredient in many cocktails such as Negroni, Manhattan, or Martini.
