The Martin-Pouret white wine vinegar is a 3-year aged French Vinaigre d'Orléans V.R. with subtle notes of candied fruit.

Thanks to its slow fermentation of 3 weeks in oak barrels and its three-year maturation in the cool vinegar cellars in Orléans, the Vinaigre V.R. (Vieillissement remarquable), which means "remarkable aging," uses a selection of the best French white wines as its base. It preserves the heritage of centuries-old expertise and offers a wonderful, unique taste with aromas of candied fruit, a hint of vanilla from the wood barrel aging, and 7% acidity.

This aged white wine vinegar provides an intensely fruity and sour taste experience. It is ideal for fresh green salads, adds a fruity acidity to sauces for fish or meat, refines poultry, pasta, and potato salads, and tastes refreshing when mixed with mineral water or sparkling wine.

Martin-Pouret – Vinaigre d'Orléans V.R.

Once, the city of Orléans was the stronghold of vinegar production in France; even the king recognized the special quality of Orléans vinegar in a decree in 1590. However, out of 300 vinegar manufacturers, only one remains: Maison Martin Pouret. Since 1797, they have been producing high-quality vinegar in the traditional way, still allowing it to mature in wooden barrels. David Matheron and Paul-Olivier Claudepierre, who took over the vinegar house in 2019, proudly look back on a unique heritage, the tradition of the great vinegar masters, which they are now allowed to continue. In addition to vinegar, such as this aged white wine vinegar, the company also produces pickled vegetables, like gherkins, and French mustard.
