Le Creuset - this name makes the eyes of cooking enthusiasts around the world light up. Owning a Le Creuset Dutch oven, pot, or pan is the dream of many home cooks. Here, it can come true!
Cast iron from Le Creuset brings color to the kitchen
Founded in 1925 by two Belgian industrialists, Armand Desaegher and Octave Aubecq, the company specializes in manufacturing Dutch ovens, pots, and pans made of enameled, colored cast iron at their factory in Fresnoy-le-Grand. By the late 1950s, Le Creuset was already exporting its colorful Dutch ovens to other European countries and, over the years, acquired some of its competitors to become the market leader in cast iron cookware. In 1988, entrepreneur Paul van Zuvdam became the owner and expanded Le Creuset's product range and, with it, its success.
Even today, cookware made from high-quality materials is produced in the foundry in Fresnoy-le-Grand, a village in the northern French province, and enameled with the signature flame orange and many other vibrant colors. This results in enduring classics, cookware of today, heirlooms of tomorrow. In addition to Dutch ovens, pots, and pans, there are plenty of practical kitchen helpers for frying, baking, and enjoying, such as salt and pepper mills, stoneware baking dishes and casseroles, silicone cooking spatulas and spoons, and even practical wine coolers in the typical Le Creuset colors.
