Alpe Pragas – Red Currant – Fruit Spread with 75% Fruit Content
The Alpe Pragas Red Currant Fruit Spread combines sweet and tart pleasure with a traditional taste, just like from Grandma's garden. Red currants (Ribes), a European berry from the gooseberry family, traditionally ripen around St. John's Day on June 24th, giving the spread its characteristic slightly tart note. Gently cooked with just a little sugar and lemon juice, this combination unfolds its full aroma and tastes excellent on warm crêpes, in muesli, with quark, or yogurt.
In the idyllic Prags Valley, the Gruber family has been cultivating berries since 1994 at an altitude of approximately 1250 m in an alpine mountain climate, which ensures a longer ripening period and a particularly intense fruit aroma. Natural cultivation is at the forefront: hand-planted seedlings, repeated weeding of the fields, and irrigation with pure river and spring water from the Dolomites guarantee the highest quality and freshness.
This fruit spread contains a high fruit content of 75% and is gelled exclusively with natural apple pectin. It contains no artificial additives, preservatives, colorings, or flavorings, is gluten-free and vegan – a delicious, pure indulgence for conscious connoisseurs.

Alpe Pragas is a gourmet manufacturer that has been producing high-quality organic fruit spreads, marmalades, and jams with great love and care since 2002. The fruits are hand-picked when ripe, pitted, cleaned, and gently cooked to preserve vitamins, natural color, and, above all, the intense fruit flavor. In addition to fruit spreads, the range also includes syrups, mostarde, and chutneys – perfect as accompaniments to cheese, meat, or fish dishes. Fresh, fruity, and authentic – a delight from South Tyrol for gourmets.
