The Prisecco Cuvée No. 15 from Manufaktur Jörg Geiger is an exciting, extremely popular Prisecco characterized by fresh, fruity pears combined with caramel-nutty coffee notes. Alcohol-free and sparkling, pleasantly dry yet wonderfully fruity, it makes a good alternative to sparkling wine as an aperitif or wine as a food accompaniment when well chilled.

Cuvée No. 15 – Perry Pear, Apple and Coffee

From the very first sip, this Prisecco entices with its balanced combination of fragrant, sweet Gelbmöstler pear, the invigorating acidity of old apple varieties like Berlepsch and Gewürzluike, and the caramel roasted notes of Bourbon coffee roasted in copper drums, sourced from Finca Sonora in the highlands of Mexico. The initial impression on the palate presents a vibrant fruitiness with balanced acidity, reminiscent primarily of ripe yellow fruits. Then, subtly bitter roasted notes of coffee and nuts, along with a hint of caramel, mingle with the fruit. In the long finish, the coffee lingers on the palate for a long time, without overpowering the delicate fruit.

Serving suggestion: Naturally, with all coffee combinations, from appetizers to veal fillet in a coffee crust, to desserts like tiramisu. But also with dishes containing roasted hazelnuts and other nuts.

PriSecco is the best-selling specialty of Manufaktur Jörg Geiger. Sophisticated and balanced, all Prisecco varieties surprise with enormous complexity. The absence of alcohol is not perceived as a deficiency; quite the opposite. PriSecco fills a gap for new, modern, alcohol-free beverages based on old fruit varieties. The old apple and perry pear varieties come from the landscape-defining traditional orchards along the bird sanctuary at the foot of the Swabian Alb – hand-picked, ripened, and gently processed in Jörg Geiger's manufactory, who has received several awards for his juices (including from Slow Food). Due to their distinct aromatics, with the unique acidity of old apple varieties and the pronounced tannin note of the pear, these juices form a very special, natural basis for the Geiger Prisecco varieties.

We have known Jörg Geiger, the owner of Manufaktur Geiger, personally for many years. The Prisecco manufactory is located in Schlat near Göppingen, where I myself lived for several years. Jörg Geiger started making fruit-based alcohol-free cocktails more as a hobby. Since then, he has gained a great deal of knowledge about the preparation of this alcohol-free specialty, about old fruit varieties, and the use of herbs. In addition to top gastronomy, where his Prisecco is gladly served as an alcohol-free aperitif and food accompaniment, more and more people are enjoying their favorite Prisecco at home.
