Discover Philipp's Rosé 2024 - the charming rosé wine from Philipp Kuhn
The Philipp Kuhn Rosé 2024 is an absolute classic from the Kuhn winery and a finely fruity wine with an intense aroma of wild strawberries that you can enjoy on many occasions. Vinified from 5 different grape varieties with animating acidity, fine fruit, and an elegant body.
The 2020 vintage was awarded 92 points by Meininger Verlag as Rosé of the Year: "A funky character and at the same time highly exciting: attractively reductive with salted almond and dried raspberry; firm and full with good length and at low alcohol," was the jury's verdict. Philipp Kuhn Rosé is light, fresh, and finely fruity, with a whole basket full of juicy wild strawberries on the nose, raspberry and juicy cherry on the palate, and a mineral saltiness.
Well-chilled, this rosé is an animating aperitif wine that makes you want more. It accompanies Mediterranean fish dishes as well as grilled chicken or pasta with seafood. Philipp’s Rosé has exactly what a rosé should have: plenty of drinking pleasure. A wine for every day, because rosé is now always in season, not just in the warmer months.
Weingut Kuhn – Winemaking
Philipp Kuhn's Rosé is vinified using the Saignée method. For this, the hand-picked grapes of the Merlot, Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and St. Laurent varieties are filled into large vats, and the first juice runs out solely due to the grapes' own weight. This remains on the mash until it has taken on the right color. Red wines are then vinified from the remaining must.
