Raumland Rosé Réserve Brut from the 2015 vintage
The Raumland Sekt Rosé Réserve Brut 2015 sparkling wine is a dry, rosé-pressed sparkling wine made from red grapes. In this case, 100% Pinot Noir grapes.
Raumland Réserve sparkling wines are characterized by and shaped by their long lees aging of 90 months. During this time, unmistakable aromas of brioche, nut butter, and toasted almonds unfold. The Raumland Sekt Rosé Réserve Brut enchants with its particularly fine perlage and a profound body with a long finish. The current rosé is from the 2015 vintage.
The Raumland Sekt Rosé Réserve Brut is a fresh sparkling wine, fruit-driven yet spicy, combining power with elegant minerality. The Rosé Réserve sparkling wine smells of red summer berries, rhubarb, and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it is fresh with notes of juicy apricot and slightly tart grapefruit. It delights with its fine effervescence and length and will turn you into a true rosé fan.
The warmer vintage has produced a fuller-bodied and spicier rosé sparkling wine with its intense aromas, which pairs excellently with game or foie gras pâté – it is, of course, also a charming aperitif.

Sekthaus Raumland – on par with Champagne
Sekthaus Raumland from Flörsheim Dalsheim in Rheinhessen produces premium German sparkling wine that does not need to shy away from international comparison. Caro Maurer, Master of Wine, describes it as follows: "Germany's answer to Champagne beats its French competitors in taste and price."
The Raumland family produces sparkling wine using traditional bottle fermentation, exclusively from their own hand-picked grapes, with a focus on Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) and Chardonnay, from organically managed vineyards in Rheinhessen and the Pfalz. The Pinot Noir grapes for this rosé sparkling wine grow on almost 30-year-old vines in the Dalsheimer Bürgel vineyard on calcareous Muschelkalk soils and Terra Fusca, a clay-rich, dense soil with limestone brown loam.
The 2015 vintage began with a mild spring, followed by a hot, dry summer. Only in September did the longed-for rain arrive with falling temperatures, which is reflected in the good acidity values. The early harvest was a true picture-perfect grape harvest in sunny weather. Compared to 2014, the 2015 sparkling wines are generally more powerful and spicier.
Gentle whole-cluster pressing, 100% stainless steel fermentation of the base wines, malolactic fermentation, second fermentation in the bottle, and long lees aging are prerequisites for this quality, a complex aroma spectrum, and the particular fine effervescence of its sparkling wines.
