Raumland Sekt – Pinot Kirchenstück – Réserve Brut Nature
The Raumland Sekt Pinot Kirchenstück 2014 Réserve Brut Nature is a Blanc de Noir, meaning a dry, white-pressed sparkling wine made from red grapes. In this case, from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The Raumland Kirchenstück is one of the first single-vineyard sparkling wines in the new VDP.Sekt.Prestige category. All its grapes come from the VDP.GROSSEN.LAGE Kirchenstück in Hohen-Sülzen in the Wonnegau.<
The Raumland Réserve sparkling wines are characterized by their long lees aging of at least 90 months years and are shaped by it. During this time, unmistakable aromas of brioche, nut butter, and roasted almonds develop. The Raumland Sekt Pinot Kirchenstück 2014 captivates with its particularly fine perlage and a profound body with a long finish.
The current vintage from 2014 was aged on the lees for 96 months. The Raumland Sekt Kirchenstück is a very complex sparkling wine, full-bodied and powerful with good structure, crisp acidity, and great length. The Brut Nature has aromas of red fruit notes of wild berries and Morello cherries, paired with a pleasant hint of white pepper and beautiful minerality on the finish.
This special Pinot sparkling wine, with its complexity and power, is a good accompaniment to Mediterranean fish and crustaceans, and dark meat.

Sekthaus Raumland – Sparkling wine on par with Champagne
Sekthaus Raumland from Flörsheim Dalsheim in Rheinhessen produces German sparkling wine of the highest class, which does not shy away from international comparison.
Volker Raumland produces sparkling wine using traditional bottle fermentation, exclusively from his own hand-picked grapes, with a focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, from organically cultivated vineyards. The Pinot Noir grapes for this single-vineyard sparkling wine grow on almost 30-year-old vines in the Kirchenstück vineyard in Rheinhessen.
Gentle pressing, aging of the base wines in barrique barrels, malolactic fermentation, second fermentation in the bottle, and long lees aging are prerequisites for this quality, a complex aroma spectrum, and the special fine perlage of his sparkling wines.
"Good taste is not objective – it is not measurable. It has taken many years of patience and countless attempts to get closer to the big goal in small steps: to achieve the optimum from the variety of our grape varieties, traditional methods, and currently available possibilities. That is our vision, which challenges us anew every day," says Volker Raumland, Germany's best sparkling wine producer.
