Cacao di Vine | Chocolate with Wine from Portugal
Cacao di Vine – It has long been known that chocolate and wine make a good pair and a tasteful combination, but integrating wine into chocolate - that is the idea of Nuno and Nuno from Portugal. Nuno Andrade is a designer and cocoa lover, Nuno Jorge a sommelier who has worked in some of the best restaurants in his homeland, such as Eleven in Lisbon or Arcadas da Capela in Coimbra. The two Nunos are brothers-in-law and friends, and for birthdays they give each other gifts of a bottle of wine and a suitable bar of chocolate.
Cacao di Vine | Flavors of Portugal Captured
The passion for wine and chocolate forms the foundation for their shared idea to create irresistible wine chocolates. Their company Cacao di Vine is very popular in Portugal, as it combines typically Portuguese flavors such as Port wine, Touriga Nacional (an indigenous red grape variety), Pasta de Nata and Caramelo salgado, salted caramel with Flor de Sal from Portugal, wonderfully captured in a delicate ganache made from 70% chocolate, a blend with cocoa beans from São Tomé and Príncipe, Brazil, Madagascar and Ecuador. But the two haven't just poured their idea into bars, but into filled chocolate drops in pretty little bags.
