Viani Imports is now one of the leading wholesalers when it comes to delicatessen from Italy. The company history of the Antonio Viani family began in 1973 with the import of Italian truffles, initially with canned truffles, which until then were almost unknown and certainly not available in Germany. But soon the Vianis brought fresh truffles from Italy for top gastronomy.
Viani - Better food for a better life.
The firm conviction that better food makes life better has always been the driving force behind their actions. Thus, in addition to truffles, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, pasta and sugo, risotto and pesto and wonderful antipasti soon filled the trucks from the south to Göttingen, where the headquarters of Viani Imports is located.
Since our founding, we have been working with Viani Imports as a reliable partner who convinces with a wide range of products, which no longer only includes authentic delicacies from Italy, but from all regions of Europe, but also scores with its experience and competence in the stationary delicatessen trade.
Remo Viani, who now continues his father's business, says: "What drives us is the joy of good food; the more sustainably it is produced and traded, the greater the personal and social benefit." In 2022, Viani is analyzing its processes, particularly with regard to more climate-neutral actions. They have been paying attention to a green footprint in terms of energy for years, and now internal processes and transport are being scrutinized. We are curious to see how the journey continues.
