Portus Cale – Gold & Blue – Scented Candle by Castelbel

The Castelbel Gold & Blue Scented Candle from the Portus Cale series smells of jasmine and red pepper. The intensely sweet fragrance of Gold & Blue is just right in its intensity so that it doesn't seem overwhelming, but is perceived as very pleasant. The Gold & Blue scented candle is beautifully packaged in a small ceramic jar and covered with blue jasmine blossoms, so that it can be reused once the candle has burned down.

The hand-poured candle burns for approximately 35 hours, but should not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. It is important to trim the wick so that the candle does not soot. Never leave the scented candle unattended or near flammable objects or in a draft. Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.

Portus Cale – Tradition and Craftsmanship from Portugal

The production of natural soaps has a 300-year-old tradition in Portugal, which began with Castelbel in 1999 when Aquiles Barros, a respected professor of chemistry and former employee of the soap manufacturer Ach Brito, decided to create something new and his own.

Not far from the port city of Porto in northern Portugal lies the small village of Castêlo da Maia, which was not only the company's headquarters but also its namesake: Castelbel – beautiful castle. Here, wonderful natural soaps, hand creams, scented candles, and room fragrances are produced.
