Ekelund – Master Weavers since 1692
Ekelund represents Swedish home textiles, such as Ekelund table runners, tablecloths, and tea towels of high craftsmanship. As one of the oldest family-run textile manufacturers in the world, Ekelund, Master Weavers since 1692, has been producing durable home textiles in Sweden for 11 generations. The company, based in the small town of Horred, south of Gothenburg, has not only been a Purveyor to the Royal Swedish Court since 1878, but has also been certified since 2017 according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which establishes ecological and social criteria for the entire production process. At Ekelund, premium raw materials like linen and wool are woven into Ekelund towels, tablecloths, table runners, and wool blankets using a patented weaving process.
Ekelund – Home Textiles from Sweden
In addition to old, classic Swedish patterns, such as the Atteblad rose, there are numerous floral themes that capture the seasons, such as Sommartid. But special Swedish themes like Kräftskiva or Tomtemöte, as well as the popular Moomin series, also define the diversity and vibrancy of Ekelund textiles. The Ekelund home textile range also includes very modern designs in shades of black or gray, or solid-colored table runners or tablecloths that radiate tranquility.
