Green, crisp, and firm to the bite, Manzanilla olives are a wonderfully fruity olive variety, marinated in a brine of lemon, a very well-matched herb blend, water, and sea salt. Perfect as an aperitif!
Manzanilla – Andalusia's Aperitif Olives
The home of the Manzanilla olive variety is the central Andalusian provinces of Malaga, Cordoba, and Seville. In the ancient cultural landscape of Seville, in the heart of Andalusia, this small variety, also known as the Seville Olive, grows on ancient, gnarled trees. The queen of olives is one of the most popular table olives worldwide, although it is also processed into aromatic olive oil. On the palate, the Hojiblanca olive is quite herbaceous. The aperitif olive tastes intense and fruity with notes of chicory, basil, and green tomato and is extremely palatable.
