Castelbel Porto – Tradition and Craftsmanship from Portugal

The production of natural soaps has a 300-year-old tradition in Portugal. Castelbel began in 1999 when Aquiles Barros, a respected professor of chemistry and former employee of the soap factory Ach Brito, decided to create something new and of his own. Initially, he produced private labels for upscale department stores; since 2006, he has created his own scented soap line, Ambiente, and since 2007, the Portus Cale line.
