Organic Sauvignon Blanc from Rheinhessen, fragrant and fresh

The Steitz Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is a dry organic white wine from the Steitz winery in Steinbockenheim, Rheinhessen, made from a single grape variety. Fragrant, fruity, fresh. Not a loud Sauvignon, but an engaging estate wine with a refined aroma.

Steitz Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is a varietally typical organic white wine from the Steitz winery in Steinbockenheim, Rheinhessen. With notes of elderflower, gooseberry, and a hint of lychee, this single-varietal wine offers pure drinking pleasure. A fragrant white wine for light summer days that leaves you wanting more. Let yourself be surprised by its clear fragrance.

Elderflower, gooseberry, and lychee

Fragrant elderflower, juicy gooseberry, and a bit of exotic lychee rise from the glass—typical of the variety yet finely defined. It is an open, inviting start that immediately sparks a desire for a warm summer day outdoors.

On the palate, it is aromatic and fresh, with lively acidity and clear fruit. The wine reveals itself to be fragrant, fruity, and juicy—an estate wine that invites the next sip. It remains elegant and never overpowering, fresh and animating with every sip. This makes it a wine you'll enjoy having in your glass often.

With fish, chicken, and goat cheese

This aromatically fragrant white wine pairs with light dishes featuring fish or chicken, but also goes well with green asparagus, goat cheese, or a fresh summer salad. Its fragrant, fresh nature makes it a welcome companion to light summer cuisine.

Served well-chilled at 9 to 11 degrees in a white wine glass, its aroma really comes to the fore. It also pairs wonderfully with a summer salad topped with fresh goat cheese. If you'd like to try more from the family, go for the Pinot Gris or the Pinot Blanc from the Steitz winery.

Christian and Diana Steitz from Steinbockenheim

Stein-Bockenheim is located in the cool west of Rheinhessen, and it is precisely this coolness that you can taste in the freshness of the wine. The grapes for this estate wine grow on loess soils in various vineyards throughout the region. After the harvest and slow fermentation, the wine matures for a long time on the lees in stainless steel tanks, which preserves its fruit and freshness.

Christian and Diana Steitz took over the winery from Christian's parents in 2015 and have since pursued natural methods in winemaking. Since the 2022 vintage, the winery has been organically certified and "fair'n green," covering 14 hectares in western Rheinhessen. Father Christian and his family are all committed to the same goal.

Straightforward, unpretentious, and authentic is how Christian Steitz describes his wines, and that is exactly how this estate wine tastes. The winery is a member of "Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen," an honest estate wine at a fair price. If you would like to try more, you can find other organic wines from the Steitz winery with us.

A fragrant start, also with goat cheese

In a white wine glass and chilled to between 9 and 11 degrees, the elderflower notes become clearly apparent. As an aperitif, it is a fragrant start; with fish, poultry, or goat cheese, it is a fresh companion. An opened bottle will stay fresh for two days if kept well-chilled, in case you don't finish it sooner. You will enjoy having it in your glass on warm evenings on the patio.
