Kohl – Mountain Apple Juice from old varieties
Kohl mountain apple juice is pure natural apple juice from our own apples. Grown in Ritten, South Tyrol, at an altitude of over 900m around the Kohl family's Troidner Hof. Years ago, Thomas Kohl convinced his father to grow apples at this mountain altitude and press very special apple juices from them. With a great sense of taste, perseverance, and charisma, Thomas Kohl realized his vision and today produces the best juices in Italy. Kohl Gourmet – single-variety cloudy apple juice
Kohl Gourmet mountain apple juices are single-variety, cloudy apple juices from special varieties such as Pinova, Gravensteiner, Jonagold, Elstar, Rubinette, or Rouge. All grown and pressed at Thomas Kohl's apple farm in Ritten at an altitude of over 900m in South Tyrol. "The taste and quality of an apple juice develop while the fruit is still on the tree," Thomas Kohl is convinced. Therefore, each mountain apple variety is lovingly cared for throughout the year, the apples are picked by hand when they are truly ripe, and gently processed into juice in our own press the next morning, only briefly heated, and filled into clear bottles. Let yourself be surprised by how different the pure natural Kohl Gourmet mountain apple juices taste. The aromas and consistency of each variety are unmistakable!
Kohl Essence – our cuvées
Kohl Essence apple juices are wonderful cuvées of mountain apple juice, grown at almost 1,000 meters above sea level in Ritten, South Tyrol, paired with a fruit (apricot), a berry (currant), a vegetable (carrot), or with herbal extracts (apple mint). This combination creates a wonderfully refreshing, new taste experience, where the strong characteristic aromas of the cloudy apple juice are perfectly complemented by the fine-fruity companions. Both fruits benefit, that is the art of affinage, which Thomas Kohl masters completely and rightly calls himself Italy's first apple juice affineur.

Grand Cru – Mountain apple juice in magnum bottles
Kohl Grand Cru mountain apple juice from Ritten in South Tyrol. The best that can be made from apples. Thomas Kohl created the Grand Cru line for his best apple juice. The old apple varieties Wintercalville and Ananasrenette grow at an altitude of over 1000 meters and achieve a unique quality there, with particularly intense sunlight and cool winds. Single-variety apple juice is Thomas Kohl's passion. It goes without saying that the Grand Cru line is direct juice. The Ananasrenette and Wintercalville are Kohl's favorites. And that's why they are only available in magnum bottles.
- Ananasrenette: An old apple variety with a fine fruity aroma. A yellowish-green color and aromas of blackcurrant, pineapple, and citrus fruits. The Ananasrenette is said to originate from the Benelux countries and was a very popular apple variety many years ago. The old variety is now classified as worthy of protection by the Arche Noah association, for example.
- Wintercalville: The old Wintercalville variety is not without reason also called Paradise Apple. At the beginning of the 20th century, Wintercalville apples were sometimes paid more than one mark per piece. The apple juice of the Wintercalville has aromas of white peach and yellow plums.
