Tea with a history: The Russian blends by Kusmi Tea date back to recipes from the time of the Tsars – flavored teas with citrus, flowers, and spices, just as founder Pavel Kousmichoff composed them for St. Petersburg society starting in 1867. Today, they are blended in Normandy, in organic quality and true to their original character.
Recipes from the time of the Tsars
The most famous of these blends is Anastasia – an Earl Grey with orange blossom, named after the mysterious Tsar's daughter. Prince Wladimir follows a recipe from 1888 and combines black tea with citrus fruits and cloves, while Saint Petersburg pays homage to the house's birthplace with caramel and vanilla. Bouquet de Fleurs N°108 is actually the oldest recipe in the range: blended since 1880, an Earl Grey with ylang-ylang.
The collection also includes the morning tea N° 24, the classic Russian morning blend of three black teas, and Label Impérial, a spicy-sweet green tea based on an old winter recipe. Russian tea, Parisian style; a piece of tea history, cup after cup – we think tradition can taste this vibrant. You can find all the teas from the house in the Kusmi Tea overview.
