Peach Syrup for Lemonade and a Quick Bellini

The organic peach syrup from Bacanha is a French fruit syrup with natural peach flavoring, produced in a workshop near Paris. Soft, fruity, with a subtle acidity. There are four ingredients on the label, and 400 ml is enough for about 20 glasses.

Peach syrup brings the taste of ripe summer fruit into your glass and is part of the Sirop Brut range from the Parisian manufacturer Bacanha. Its aroma remains subtle, soft rather than loud, and carries that gentle sweetness you expect from a sun-ripened peach. A good spoonful is enough for a glass.

Soft, fruity, and well-rounded

Those who like peaches usually like them for this very softness. This syrup captures that perfectly without turning perfumey.

A scent of ripe fruit wafts from the bottle—sweet and round. On the palate, it is fruity, juicy, and summery, while a fine acidity from organic lemon juice keeps the sweetness in check. Four items are on the ingredient list, and nothing more: organic cane sugar, water, natural peach flavoring, and that same lemon juice.

With about 60 degrees Brix, it is noticeably less sweet than most syrups on the shelf, and you will notice that when mixing. Where you have to dose sparingly with other brands, you can safely use a generous spoonful here without the glass becoming too sweet.

A Bellini in 30 seconds

Two fingers' width of syrup in a glass, top with cold sparkling wine, and the Bellini is ready. No pureeing, no straining, and no one has to wait for ripe peaches.

Poured over water, it becomes a lemonade that children—and adults—will enjoy. In cold black tea with a slice of lemon, you get the perfect Peach Tea. In the kitchen, it belongs in fruit salads, cake batter, or as part of a dressing for a summer salad with goat cheese.

A splash in ginger ale, plus a mint leaf, and your evening winds down into an apéro. Peach pairs well with others. Beside it, we offer organic passion fruit syrup, which brings significantly more acidity, and those who prefer a floral note should reach for the organic elderflower syrup.

The sugar comes from Brazil

Production takes place in a workshop in Saint-Soupplets, northeast of Paris.

The foundation of every bottle is pure organic cane sugar from Brazil, grown according to the principles of regenerative agriculture, which builds up the soil rather than depleting it. The brand name comes from there as well, as "bacana" means "nice" or "good" in Brazilian Portuguese. The aromas, in turn, are created in Grasse in the hinterland of the Côte d'Azur, where France has been crafting its scents for centuries.

"Preserving the authenticity of the aromas," as the manufacturer describes its work, means in practice above all: keeping it simple. "Sirop Brut" (raw syrup) is the name of these recipes, referring to the short list on the label. Each variety maintains the same pH value of under 4.5. For the Bellini, only use dry sparkling wine

Served ice-cold, the peach remains soft: use one part syrup to 8 to 10 parts water, plus a sprig of mint and a slice of lemon. For the Bellini, use a dry sparkling wine, otherwise it will be too sweet. Once opened, the bottle should be kept in the refrigerator, where it will last for 2 months.
