The Casa Cubista small plate is a ceramic breakfast plate with the new fine stripes pattern. This beautiful terracotta plate, made from high-quality earthenware, is handcrafted and glazed for Casa Cubista in Portugal. The painter starts the brush in the center of the plate, creating a dot, then slowly guides it in a circle until a spiral or many fine circles emerge. With this breakfast or dessert plate, you can bring many delicacies to the table. With a diameter of 22.5cm, the plate is a good size for all sorts of delights, such as croissants with jam, French toast, strawberry cake or chocolate tarts, small appetizers, or side salads. It looks wonderfully decorative when setting the table, and the warm tangerine yellow brings the sunshine of Portugal to your table. In the photo, the yellow looks slightly neon, but it is a warm yellow.

The handmade plate has a pretty design; classically hand-painted, it speaks a modern language while preserving traditional craftsmanship. It will delight you and your guests and is always a good companion when it comes to culinary enjoyment. Casa Cubista – Ceramic plates from Portugal

Casa Cubista was founded about ten years ago by David Pimentel and his friend Arrens in Olhão, Algarve. David has Portuguese roots and wanted to bring good craftsmanship from his home country to the tables of other countries. Because sitting at a set table with family or friends is pure joy of life. With its beautiful plates and bowls, Casa Cubista brings a love for beautiful things into your daily life.

Casa Cubista ceramic tableware is produced according to David's designs in a family-run manufactory in the Algarve. Even if not every plate is made on a potter's wheel, it is still taken in hand by Rui, whose family has mastered the pottery craft for over 200 years, cast, sanded, and individually glazed with these great colors, which are food-safe and free of harmful chemicals, by his aunt Regina, among others. To preserve the glaze's shine, we recommend washing the plate by hand. Each plate is unique. Small imperfections in the glaze are normal and intentional. Thus, every bowl, every plate, every jug always looks a little different. The stripes are also not perfectly geometric but painted by eye. Casa Cubista ceramics are truly handmade.

What we particularly like about the Casa Cubista collection is that the different patterns (bold stripe, dash, ray, and now fine stripes), colors (black, tangerine, red, terracotta, teal, sage, blue and green), and sizes can be wonderfully combined. Mix and match – try it out!
