Ekelund Agnes table runner with warm apple motif from Sweden
The Ekelund Agnes table runner is a short table runner made of organic cotton, woven at the Swedish manufactory Ekelund in Horred. 35 by 80 centimeters, designed by Betty Svensson, with a heartwarming apple motif. Not mass-produced textile, but weaving art from a family business that has been operating in the same location since 1692.
The Ekelund Agnes table runner 35 x 80 cm brings red apples, yellow leaves, and warm green to your dining table and is woven at the Swedish manufactory Ekelund from 100 percent organic cotton. Betty Svensson hand-drew the Agnes motif before it made its way into the loom. A short table runner that gives a dining table or chest of drawers a warm centerpiece and shines even after the napkins have been put away.
Apple red, sunflower yellow, rich meadow green
Apple red, sunny, and summery, the apples on the Agnes table runner glow, embedded in rich meadow green, framed by a narrow striped border. For many years, she has been drawing her motifs by hand using watercolor and gouache, as Betty Svensson explains about her design process, before they enter the loom via the patented Rainbow method. The result has depth and a slight shimmer because the threads appear in different combinations on the front and back.
The format of 35 by 80 centimeters is the right size for the center of a dining table, for a narrow living room table, or as a center runner on a chest of drawers. It holds a candle arrangement, a vase with early summer flowers, or simply the Sunday bread – and makes the table "hyggelig" without imposing itself. Those who prefer it longer can combine it with white tableware; those looking for color can add an oven-red bowl.

Suitable for Sundays and everyday use alike
The Agnes table runner loves the set Sunday table just as much as the weekday breakfast coffee. Organic cotton is robust, durable, suitable for everyday use, tolerates machine washing at 60 degrees, and returns fresh to the table. No delicate cycle necessary, no faded motif after the tenth wash. If you iron it, do so from the left at medium heat, and it will lie as flat as it was in the shipping box.
Simple white tableware leaves the stage to the apple motif, while rustic stoneware picks up the warm colors. The matching Agnes towel in 35 x 50 cm brings the same design language to the sink, giving the dining table and kitchen a cohesive look. Weaving art from Horred since 1692
Ekelund Linneväveri is Sweden's oldest documented textile manufactory, founded in 1692 in Horred, a village between Gothenburg and the Swedish west coast. More than 330 years of history, eight generations, one location. Spinning, dyeing, weaving, and packaging all take place here – a value chain rarely found in such completeness. For the designs, the company has worked for many years with Betty Svensson, who studied at the School of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg.
The special feature is the patented Rainbow method, in which eight colored threads are woven in such a way that the motif appears in different color combinations on the back. A table runner that brings you joy twice over. All fabrics are made of 100 percent organic cotton and organic linen and are certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
