Alpha Chef's Knife - Olive - 16cm

Güde Alpha Chef's Knife – with Olive Wood Handle

The Güde Chef's Knife X805/16 from the Alpha series features a beautiful olive wood handle. The Güde knife sits comfortably in the hand, thanks in part to the trademark of the Güde Alpha series: the second bolster, or forged pommel at the end of the handle, which gives Güde Alpha knives their excellent balance when cutting.

This versatile all-purpose knife has a tapered blade and is an essential tool for any kitchen. Like all Güde knives, this Güde Alpha chef's knife is hand-forged and hand-sharpened. The 16 cm blade is made from one piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel, is rustproof, and ice-hardened. The typical rivets are made of stainless steel, while the palm rivet is made of non-stainless aluminum.

The olive wood handle scales, with their unique grain and coloring, define the special charm of this knife series. The all-purpose knife with the olive wood handle should be cleaned by hand as soon as the cutting work is finished. Usually, a dishcloth dampened with warm water is sufficient. The knife is not dishwasher safe.

Güde Knives – Olive

The Güde Alpha series combines classic Solingen craftsmanship with a Mediterranean lifestyle. The knives are high-quality, extremely functional, and feature a timelessly simple design. Now, these classic knives are getting a Mediterranean touch with handle scales made from select olive wood. The olive wood, which comes from 100 to 500-year-old olive trees, is very hard and robust. The Güde Alpha series with olive wood handles is the perfect combination of traditional Mediterranean wood and top-tier forging art.

Blade hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. Further processing involves over 40 manual steps. Each handle scale is unique; grains and inclusions are intentional as they are. The blade is rustproof, ice-hardened, hand-sharpened, and not dishwasher safe.
