There is no large-scale canteen behind this Carrot Ginger Soup, and certainly not our own: it is cooked for us by a small workshop that Kerstin and Stephan Uhlenbusch selected for the Manufaktur U brand because even vegetarian soups are still crafted there with care instead of being mixed on an assembly line.

Ingredients like carrots, celery, and parsnips are cleaned, cut, and weighed by hand before they are cooked in a slowly simmered vegetable stock—the production is an EC-certified artisan manufacturing process. The soup is naturally so aromatic that it manages completely without flavor enhancers, even though it is the only one in the range that is made without beef bone broth.
