The Papa dei Boschi Hazelnut Cream in the large 500g jar is for everyone who has fallen for the incomparable taste of "Crema di Nocciola".

The main ingredient of Papa dei Boschi Hazelnut Cream are roasted hazelnuts from Piedmont, finely ground and kneaded and rolled with powdered sugar, cocoa butter, milk powder and vanilla until a creamy, homogeneous hazelnut cream is formed. A high hazelnut content (60%) of freshly roasted hazelnuts Piemont IGP, as well as the absence of foreign fats, soy lecithin and vanillin, are indispensable quality features of this gluten-free spread.

The Piedmontese hazelnuts come from Papa dei Boschi's own cultivation. The taste of Papa dei Boschi Crema di Nocciola is so convincing that often no other hazelnut cream makes it to the table. It is creamy, incredibly nutty and simply irresistibly delicious.

Hazelnut cream, or Crema di Nocciola in Italian, originated in Turin. At the beginning of the 19th century, during Napoleon's rule, high tariffs were imposed on goods from England and English colonies. This also applied to cocoa. The clever people of Turin extended the chocolate with finely ground, roasted hazelnuts and winkingly called the confection Gianduia, a traditional figure in Italian carnival. The taste of this makeshift solution was so convincing that the hazelnut cream recipe was retained for centuries.

Due to procurement problems in the glass sector, the cream is sometimes delivered in a recyclable plastic container - appearance similar to glass.
