Dry rosé from the Nahe, berry-forward and powerful

The 2025 Jubel & Trubel Rosé by Anette Closheim is a dry, berry-forward rosé wine from the Nahe region made from Pinot Noir, Merlot, and St. Laurent. This is no pale summer fling, but a powerful rosé that tastes great beyond just the summer months.

Rosé wine can also have character, as proven by the Jubel & Trubel Rosé from Anette Closheim, a dry, fruit-forward cuvée made from Pinot Noir, Merlot, and St. Laurent. Cheeky pink in the glass, berry-forward and juicy on the palate, with a delicate spicy trace. With 12% ABV, it remains light, refreshing, and surprisingly versatile—a rosé that you can open for many occasions, as Anette likes to describe it.

Jubel & Trubel (Jubilation & Commotion) is the name, and that is exactly how it drinks, whether in a convivial group or quietly with a good book. Anette runs her winery in Langenlonsheim in the fourth generation and has been crafting clear, modern wines from the Nahe since 2008 that you simply love to have in your glass. Its cheeky pink color sets a happy mood the moment you pour it.

Cherry, strawberry, and a hint of white pepper

In the glass, the rosé sparkles in a cheeky pink and smells of cherry, redcurrant, and strawberry, accompanied by delicate rose petals and a hint of white pepper.

On the palate, the rosé wine is juicy, fruity, lively, and dry, with a fresh acidity of 6.4 g/l. Both berry-forward and powerful, it is far more than a pale terrace wine; it has the substance and fruit to last the whole evening and can even hold its own against a hearty meal.

Pinot Noir, Merlot, and St. Laurent give the rosé its berry depth, while early racking keeps the color light and the fruit clear. The result is a rosé with juice and power that is anything but ordinary.

The rosé for fish, salad, and balmy evenings

A dry rosé like this is a flexible companion for fish dishes, summer salads, light pasta, or simply for a social gathering on the terrace. It adapts without hiding its personality.

Serve it with grilled fish, antipasti, or a colorful quiche, well-chilled at 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. Berry-forward and powerful as it is, it tastes good all year round, not just in summer. If you prefer red, try the velvety Cuvée Rouge, or if you prefer white, the dry Cuvée Blanc.

A winemaker who knows what she wants

Anette Closheim took over her winery as a vintner's daughter; today, she runs it in the fourth generation with a down-to-earth, energetic, clear, and determined approach.

"Child, you need a man for this, you can't do it alone," her parents told her. "More is expected of a female winemaker than a male one," says Anette today. She found a husband, but she makes the wine entirely on her own, and within the Vinissima association, she supports other female winemakers on their path, including as a board member.

Three stars in Vinum and Eichelmann, three F's in Der Feinschmecker—the winery collects recognition as if it were a matter of course. You can find more from the Nahe in all wines by Anette Closheim. Cheers to jubilation and commotion.
