Ceramic jug 1l – bold stripes teal

Casa Cubista ceramic jug 1l – bold stripes teal

The Casa Cubista ceramic jug is a beautiful carafe with broad, teal stripes and a capacity of one liter. This beautiful yet practical terracotta jug with a handle, made of high-quality stoneware, is handcrafted and glazed in Portugal for Casa Cubista. In the past, before glass became mass-produced, it was common to serve drinks in ceramic vessels. Today, you can use this ceramic jug with a handle to serve both cold and hot drinks. The terracotta jug also looks excellent as a decorative piece or as a vase.

The broad teal stripes of the jug bring a dash plate in black and a ray bowl in terracotta to the same table. Mix and match – give it a try!

Care instructions: Please wash the jug by hand with hot soapy water before first use, rinse with clear water, and let it air dry. The base of jugs, mugs, and vases may initially sweat. This is normal and will decrease over time. Please protect delicate surfaces that may be affected by water marks. If you use a vase or jug for fresh flowers, please change the water daily. This prevents the scent of flower water from soaking into the terracotta.

Casa Cubista – Handcrafted in Portugal

Casa Cubista was founded about ten years ago by David Pimentel and his friend Arrens in Olhão in the Algarve. David has Portuguese roots and wanted to bring quality craftsmanship from his home country to tables in other countries as well. Because sitting at a set table together with family or friends is pure joy. With his beautiful jugs, Casa Cubista brings a love for beautiful things into your everyday life.

Casa Cubista ceramic tableware is produced according to David's designs in a family-run factory in the Algarve. Even if not every bowl is made on the potter's wheel, it is still handled, poured, sanded, and individually glazed by Rui—whose family has mastered the pottery craft for over 200 years—and his aunt Regina, among others, using these great glazes that are, by the way, food-safe and free of harmful chemicals. The one-liter jug is hand-washed so that the teal glaze retains its shine, both inside and out. Each jug is unique. Minor irregularities in the glaze are normal and intentional. This way, every bowl, every plate, and every jug always looks a little different. Casa Cubista ceramics are truly handcrafted.
