Ferdinand's Gin – Saar Dry Gin with a Riesling Base

What makes Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin special are the over 30 finely tuned botanicals, predominantly from the Saar region's own cultivation, combined with the finest Riesling grapes from the Saarburger Rausch grand cru vineyard of Weingut Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken.

The Royal Prussian forest master Ferdinand Geltz is not only the namesake of the Riesling-infused Saar Dry Gin, but also the historic co-founder of the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer. Selectively hand-picked Riesling grapes from the Zilliken winery from slate steep slopes of the Saarburger Rausch grand cru make Ferdinand's Gin a unique result. The craftsmanship of Master Distiller Andreas Vallendar guarantees a high-quality, aromatic, yet mild gin that stands for the highest drinking pleasure.

The complex aromas of Ferdinand Gin, with hand-picked botanicals, some of which grow directly behind the Vallander distillery, such as red vineyard peach, quince, Rubinette, and sloe, are combined with herbs like apple mint, lemon thyme, chamomile, lemon verbena, and fennel; spices like coriander, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, and of course juniper; as well as blossoms like hops, elderflower, hibiscus, almond, jasmine, and lavender, along with ginger, bergamot, sandalwood, and licorice, to create this unique taste explosion.

The creators of Ferdinand's Gin include not only Dorothee Zilliken, vintner of the VDP Weingut Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken, and Master Distiller Andreas Vallander, but also their friends, the brothers Denis Reinhardt and Erik Wimmers, who came up with the idea for this great German gin. With their shared passion for high-quality spirits, the four have created a unique, handmade product that is an aromatic reflection of their home region.
