A.C. Perch's Green Mandarin is a mild blend of Chinese green and white tea with blueberry and coconut. The name refers to the tea's origin, not an ingredient. A bright, fruity tea that is light and gentle.

Green Mandarin is a green and white tea from the Danish tea house A.C. Perch's, grown in China and refined with blueberry and coconut. Green and white tea are among the least processed types of tea, hence the light infusion and pure taste. Blueberry and coconut give it a mild, slightly exotic fruity note.

Blueberry, coconut and light tea

When brewed, Green Mandarin has a fruity aroma of blueberries, underpinned by the soft, creamy sweetness of coconut. It remains light and delicate in the cup.

It is soft and mild on the palate; the white tea makes it particularly gentle, while the green tea keeps it fresh. Fruity, fresh, and creamy, the blend coats the tongue without any astringency. Green Mandarin likes to be light; the berry provides freshness, while the coconut adds a soft roundness. The two complement each other so well that neither overpowers the other, both instead supporting the light tea. A tea for everyone who enjoys fruity teas without a sharp acidity.

A gentle 80 degrees for a light tea

Use 80-degree water and let steep for 5 minutes; do not use boiling water, otherwise the delicate tea will lose its finesse. At this temperature, Green Mandarin remains bright and fruity.

From Scandinavia's oldest tea merchant

Green Mandarin comes from A.C. Perch's Thehandel in Copenhagen. The house was founded by Niels Brock Perch, who opened the small shop at Kronprinsensgade 5 in April 1835 and named it after his third-eldest son, Axel Christian Perch.

Green and white tea are considered the original tea because they are barely processed and remain closest to the plant. At the tea house A.C. Perch's, it is refined with blueberry and coconut, in keeping with the same curiosity Niels had when he collected the best teas in the world. For nearly 200 years, the house has been run by the same family, at times with three generations behind the counter, and blends are still assembled by hand today.

In 2002, Queen Margrethe II named the house a Royal Warrant Holder, a recognition of consistent quality. The 10 pyramid bags made of cornstarch give the leaves space to unfold, with each one individually wrapped to protect its aroma. The transparent individual wrapper looks like plastic, but it is not; it consists of NatureFlex, an airtight film made of cellulose and wood fibers that protects the aroma and is even compostable at home.
