Sun-yellow lemon cream from Sicily
Scyavuru's lemon cream is a sun-yellow Crema di Limone with a Sicilian lemon flavor—creamy and sweet. A versatile spread from Ribera that is just as perfect on bread as it is in desserts, tartlets, or cheesecake.
Lemon cream from Scyavuru is a velvety, sun-yellow cream with the fragrance of Sicilian lemons. Creamy, sunny, and zesty, it spreads smoothly on bread and instantly transforms yogurt, semolina, or mascarpone into a quick dessert. Its bright aroma comes from real Sicilian lemon oil, which provides a fresh note at 1.15%. It is not a fruit spread, but rather a delicate cream that carries the essence of the lemon.
Creamy, sweet, and sun-yellow
As soon as you open the jar, you are greeted by a fresh citrus scent—bright and inviting, like a basket of freshly picked lemons.
On the tongue, the cream is velvety and sweet, with the clear, tangy aroma of Sicilian lemons that beautifully balances the sweetness. Unlike a tart marmalade, it is mild and well-rounded, tuned entirely to the sunny side of the lemon. Its vibrant yellow color brings joy even on the spoon; it tastes like bottled sunshine for spreading.
Stir it briefly before your first taste to reveal its full, smooth creaminess. Because it is fine and spreadable, it is just as easy to eat by the spoonful as it is to spread thinly, turning breakfast into a little slice of the South. Especially on grey days, this yellow spoonful brings a touch of the Mediterranean to your table.
On bread, in desserts, with cake
This Crema di Limone is a true all-rounder: classic on brioche, toast, or fresh white bread for a sunny start to the day. On warm toast, it melts slightly, doubling the fragrance.
It really shows its strength in the dessert kitchen. Stir it into yogurt, semolina, or mascarpone, fill small tartlets with vanilla cream and a dollop of lemon, or give it the starring role in cheesecake. Even a delicate fish sauce gets a fresh, lemony note with a spoonful of this, and it tastes delicious straight from the spoon anyway.
If you enjoy the fruity side of Sicily, you can also find orange marmalade from the same producer among our jams and preserves, allowing you to bring Sicily to your table in several colors.
Two brothers-in-law and the scent of Ribera
Behind Scyavuru are brothers-in-law Rosario Tortorici and Nino Tornambè, who started in 2005 in Ribera on Sicily's southern coast with a 16-liter pot and oranges from their own garden. From that one idea, a whole range of sunny specialties has grown.
The name Scyavuru means "scent" in the Sicilian dialect, and that is exactly what it's all about: capturing the aroma of the island. In just over 20 years, their humble beginning has grown into two manufacturing facilities whose creams and marmalades now travel to over 60 countries. In Ribera, the "Scyavuru Experience" invites visitors to taste their products, featuring waffles and crêpes filled with their house-made creams.
This lemon cream has remained uncomplicated—sometimes spread on bread, sometimes stirred into a dessert. One spoonful, and the kitchen smells of Sicilian lemon groves. You can find more from the island in our Scyavuru specialties.
