Spelt Mini Grissini Pizza, pizza flavor for snacking
Spelt Mini Grissini Pizza are short, crunchy breadsticks from South Tyrol that taste like pizza. Ultner bakes them with spelt, Emmental cheese, tomato paste, and Italian herbs. A favorite snack for many children, completely wheat-free.
Spelt Mini Grissini Pizza are small snack sticks with the taste of a crispy Margherita pizza—tomato, cheese, and herbs. Ultner Brot bakes them from spelt flour and whole grain spelt with Emmental, tomato paste, oregano, and basil. Crispy, savory, and delicious, in a 150 g pack.
Tomato, cheese, and herbs just like on pizza
What makes these sticks taste like pizza is the combination of tomato paste, Emmental cheese, and classic pizza herbs: oregano and basil.
The tomato paste provides a fruity, savory note, the cheese adds richness, and the herbs bring the Mediterranean aroma, just like a freshly baked Margherita. These three ingredients are enough to immediately conjure up an image of pizza, and that is what Ultner focuses on when seasoning these little sticks.
The spelt dough is prepared with extra virgin olive oil, shaped into short sticks, and baked until the edges turn golden brown. Barely 5 millimeters thick and a handful long, they are made for both small and large hands—a snack that no one has to share.
Savory, spicy, and crunchy, they break with a delicate snap. Because the dough contains spelt instead of wheat, the sticks have a slightly nutty undertone that allows the tomato and cheese flavors to develop particularly well.
The favorite snack for kids
Hardly any snack is as popular with children as anything that tastes like pizza, and these mini grissini hit that mark perfectly.
Whether in a lunchbox, at a birthday party, or as a treat during a movie night, these little pizza sticks disappear quickly. Adults also love to grab a handful, pairing them with an aperitivo and a glass of wine or simply enjoying them from a bowl.
On a party buffet, they vanish among olives and cheese cubes, and broken up over a colorful salad, they add a savory crunch. For on-the-go snacking, they travel easily in a bag or lunchbox without breaking, unlike a slice of bread that would get squashed. Because they are baked until dry and crisp, they stay crunchy without turning soft, and the 150 g pack is enough for many small breaks.
Those who prefer pure cheese flavor without tomato will find their counterparts in Spelt Mini Grissini Cheese. And for those who prefer breaking off longer sticks, try the Spelt Grissini with Sesame.
Baked by Ultner in South Tyrol
Ultner Brot bakes these mini grissini in St. Walburg in the Ultental valley, where the Schwienbacher family has been crafting bread and pastries since 1919.
Master baker Hannes Schwienbacher runs the bakery in the fourth generation, and the business has operated exclusively organically since 1982. These pizza sticks are also made from the best organic ingredients, using real Emmental cheese, tomato paste, and locally sourced spelt milled in their own mill, where about 40 people work.
Over the years, the small village bakery has grown into South Tyrol's best-known organic bakery, offering over 100 types of bread and baked goods. You can find the 150 g pack of Mini Grissini Pizza alongside the entire Ultner range of breads, snacks, and sweet pastries right here.
