The history of the Le Jacquard Francais company dates back to 1861, when Benjamin Baer opened a fabric trade in Gérardmer in the French Vosges mountains. In 1928, his successors, the Nathan Lévy weaving mill, expanded the business to include a bleaching plant, as white linen was in high demand at the time. In 1968, the company was taken over by the ELIS group, which acquired more than 50 looms for weaving Jacquard fabrics and created the Le Jacquard Francais brand. As the quintessence of creative and technical know-how, the dish towels are woven with the greatest care in the textile factory in the Vosges and then sewn there. The products are of excellent quality and are woven from 100% cotton. The combed long fibers result in a soft, very smooth and resistant fabric. The fineness of the silky soft yarns gives the designs incomparable brilliance and precision.
