Introducing: The Vienna Trilogy from Weingut Wieninger

The Wieninger Wiener Trilogie 2021 from Weingut Fritz Wieninger is a robust red wine from Austria, composed of three varietals: Zweigelt, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. With its deep dark color, aromas of dark berries, and a delicate spice, it offers a taste experience that lingers long in the memory.

The Vienna Trilogy 2021 is an enjoyable and refined food companion, a perfect accompaniment to hearty meat dishes such as beef, lamb, or game. This red wine cuvée also harmonizes wonderfully with spicy cheeses. Try it and experience a symphony of flavors!

Origin and Terroir

Are you looking for a wine that combines tradition, innovation, and quality in one glass? Then let yourself be enchanted by the Wieninger Wiener Trilogie 2021! This cuvée offers an exciting composition that you must experience.

The grapes for the Vienna Trilogy 2021 come exclusively from the vineyards of Vienna's Bisamberg, with light, sandy loess soils atop massive limestone bedrock. The many hours of sunshine, constant wind, and relatively low rainfall in this location make the Wiener Bisamberg an excellent red wine region.

The vineyards are cultivated according to biodynamic principles. Practicing biodynamic viticulture is not just a method, but a way of life. Fritz Wieninger views the soil, the plants, and the entire operation as a harmonious whole, a kind of circular economy where everything is interconnected. The biodynamic preparations, which are of natural origin, harmonize all organisms involved in the process, leading to greater resilience of the vines and higher wine quality.

The Vienna Trilogy 2021 is a cuvée of 65% Zweigelt, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Merlot. The grape varieties are harvested by hand at different times, with Zweigelt starting mid to late September and Cabernet Sauvignon being picked only towards the end of October. After separate mash fermentation and malolactic fermentation in large wooden barrels, the individual wines mature in barriques for about 20 months in the impressive 16th-century cellar, before finally being blended and bottled in September 3030. Produced at the renowned Weingut Wieninger, this wine reflects the passion and craftsmanship of the winemakers.
