This old apple variety, originally from England, is now cultivated in Normandy, where optimal climatic conditions prevail. As an autumn apple of the Reinette genus, it is characterized by very juicy flesh and a bittersweet taste.

Apple Juice – Juice or Nectar?

The term nectar evokes the botanical liquid from flower calyxes and the mythological drink of the gods that bestows eternal youth. However, the European Fruit Juice Regulation strictly distinguishes between juice and nectar: nectars may contain up to 20% sugar and must have a minimum fruit content of 25%, while juices are considered higher quality. Alain Milliat surpasses these requirements, with his nectars containing 40-50% fruit content – a testament to his uncompromising quality.
