Unlike the Bellini Original Cocktail, the Virgin Bellini contains no alcohol. White peach purée and carbonated water are the only ingredients in the bottle.

Invented at Harry's Bar in Venice

In 1948, Giuseppe Cipriani invented the Bellini at Harry's Bar in Venice to mark an exhibition of the painter Giovanni Bellini at the Doge's Palace—white peach purée topped with Prosecco, named after the color tones in the artist's paintings.

His son, Arrigo Cipriani, continued the recipe and knew exactly what mattered when it came to the peaches: "never yellow, and better if they are small and have pink skin." This care in fruit selection is also present in the non-alcoholic Virgin Bellini, not just in the cocktail.
