Almost square, and for good reason

Thirty-nine by thirty-four centimeters creates a rectangle that comes so close to a square that it works equally well in any direction. What suits the board and what doesn't

After carving, rinse the cutting side briefly under warm water and dry it immediately afterward. The board should never be left in the sink for long, as solid wood absorbs water and releases it as it dries. Dishwashers, microwaves, and ovens are completely out of the question for this material, no matter how practical that might sound at the moment. Between uses, the board hangs by its leather strap over the countertop, where it can dry through from both sides.
