Manincor La Contessa 2023 – a white wine of delicate elegance
The Manincor La Contessa 2023 is an exquisite white wine from South Tyrol, an elegant cuvée made from Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, with Pinot Blanc making up the largest share at 55%. The vines thrive in the Terlan and Kaltern vineyard sites of South Tyrol, known for their ideal climatic conditions, which give the grapes excellent ripeness.
The Manincor La Contessa 2023 is characterized by a bright yellow color with greenish reflections. Its bouquet reveals aromas of apple, apricot, and a hint of sage. On the palate, it is dense and elegant with a pleasant freshness and a lingering elegance on the finish. An outstanding wine for special occasions.
A white wine cuvée for festive occasions and discerning wine connoisseurs
Harmony and challenge: The 2023 vintage was challenging, marked by variable weather conditions ranging from a damp spring to a hot and dry summer. Despite these difficulties, the grapes reached perfect maturity, which is reflected in the balanced combination of physiological ripeness, sugar, and acidity. The wine is characterized by ripe fruit aromas and a moderate alcohol content, making it an ideal companion for relaxed moments.
Excellent processing: The grapes were carefully destemmed and macerated for six hours to extract the aromas and structure from the skins. Fermentation took place spontaneously in wooden barrels using native yeasts, followed by nine months of aging on the fine lees. This careful processing contributes to the complexity and depth of flavor of the wine. Cellar-worthy until 2030.
Focus on biodynamics: The La Contessa is a delight for the palate, and is also produced biodynamically and vegan in accordance with the strict Respekt-BIODYN guidelines. This emphasizes the character of the terroir. In this way, the philosophy of the Manincor winery, which is dedicated to biodynamic wine production, is reflected.
Ideal for festive occasions: Thanks to its structure and moderate alcohol content, the La Contessa is an excellent, elegant companion for appetizers, fish dishes, and vegetarian meals. It should be served slightly chilled, but not cold, so that its aromas can fully unfold.
