Rings Muskateller – 365 Days of Wine Enjoyment

The Rings Muskateller 2023 is an uncomplicated, fragrant VDP Gutswein from Weingut Rings for everyday enjoyment. Made from Muskateller grapes, partly aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve its beautiful, fresh fruit and floral aroma, and partly fermented and aged in large Pfalz oak barrels (40%) to add complexity to the wine. With a moderate alcohol content and hardly any residual sugar, the Rings Muskateller is a white wine perfect for accompanying a summer lunch, as an aperitif for a get-together with friends, or with a book on a garden lounger. Rings – Winemaking

The Rings brothers place great importance on healthy soils, vines, and grapes in their organic viticulture. They start early by sowing buckwheat, clover, and radish, which prevents soil erosion, attracts beneficial insects, and retains moisture in the soil, which is revitalized with the application of horse manure as a natural fertilizer. Canopy management is also important for the quality of the wine: double shoots are removed manually, and depending on the weather conditions, the grapes are defoliated and thinned out to aerate them. The Muskateller grapes from Freinsheim vineyards are hand-picked at the optimal harvest time, selected, and gently pressed. The organic wine is aged in stainless steel (60%) and in large Pfalz oak barrels (40%).
