Stekovics Orange Jalapenos are medium-hot Santa Fe chilies, preserved in tomato or "Paradeiser" (Austrian German for tomato) vinegar from their own production. The color of the chili depends on its ripeness, and this year Prisca and Erich Stekovics have jarred orange jalapeno peppers. You can enjoy them with any snack, they go well with cheese and hearty cold cuts. These medium-hot jalapenos are also delicious as a side dish for grilling.

Erich Stekovics is the Emperor of Tomatoes. By Lake Neusiedl in Austria, he plants and cultivates countless old, almost forgotten varieties of "Paradeiser" (tomatoes), bell peppers, chilies, garlic, and cucumbers, and transforms them into delicious, vinegar-preserved jarred goods, like these Orange Jalapeno Santa Fe.
What Erich Stekovics plants has flavor. And he is particularly fond of old varieties of tomato and chili plants. And no one can fool him easily. Among his personal favorite varieties is the "Gänseschnabel" chili, which he preserves in the finest Beerenauslese vinegar.
