The Crema Alpina gift set with glasses is the liqueur side of Distilleria Marzadro as a ready-to-go gift: three varieties from the cream liqueur range from Trentino in handy 200 ml bottles, plus two glasses and a card inviting you to visit the distillery. Whoever receives it doesn't need to buy anything else, not even the glasses. And whoever gives it as a gift is giving away the evening along with it.

Side by side in the glass, the three show their character: delicate green for the Pistacchio, warm light brown for the Nocciola, and a light caramel tone for the Caramello Salato. All three are velvety and finely mild, because the same alpine cream forms their base. One nutty, the other sweet with a pinch of salt, and the green pistachio in between.

Hazelnut, pistachio and a pinch of salt

Three varieties, one base: cream from fresh Trentino milk, topped with the aroma of hazelnut, pistachio, or salted caramel, all three equally mild.

The Nocciola is the down-to-earth one in the set: hazelnut and cream that need no further explanation. The Pistacchio is the green classic of the range, with clear pistachio notes without being overpowering. And the Caramello Salato is the latest addition: burnt sugar with a pinch of salt that keeps the sweetness in check.

Next to the bottles, the box contains two small liqueur glasses and a card inviting you to visit the distillery in Nogaredo.

With the glasses included, the set is complete for the evening of unboxing: unscrew, pour, toast. The card shows the distillery as it was built in 2004, one kilometer from Brancolino, and invites you to see it for yourself: the hall with the eight copper stills in a circle under the glass roof, the quiet aging cellars, and the shop where tastings take place. Tours are available by appointment; the classic tour lasts about an hour.

Nogaredo is located in the Adige Valley and is easily accessible from Lake Garda. The set thus contains a gift with two appointments: the evening when the bottles are opened, and the day of your vacation when the card is redeemed. The cream-colored box with the mountain panorama requires no extra wrapping paper.

From Sabina's first still to a sea of copper

Sabina Marzadro built her first still in Brancolino in 1949, and the small farm turned into a distillery with a sea of copper.

After twelve years in Rome, she returned to Trentino with the intention of distilling grappa from the winemakers' pomace. She built the first still with coppersmith Arnoldi, and in 1949, the first trucks full of pomace drove into the courtyard. "A Marzadro for me," was soon heard in the bars of Rovereto, a small glass that bore a family name. In 1960, her brother Attilio took over, whose children Andrea, Anna, and Stefano run the company today.

Cold from the fridge into the small glass

All three belong in the fridge and should be served well-chilled in a glass, unlike the grappa from the same house. Poured over vanilla ice cream, the Nocciola becomes a dessert, the Caramello Salato replaces both sugar and cream in an espresso, and the Pistacchio is best enjoyed neat in a small glass.
