Five small bottles, one entire distillery

The set contains four grappas and one liqueur: La Trentina Tradizionale and Morbida Barrique, the amphora-aged Grappa Anfora, the matured Le Diciotto Lune, and the coffee liqueur Corretto.

The two La Trentina grappas demonstrate the distillery's philosophy – the Tradizionale remains young and dry, made from red grapes without any barrel aging; the Morbida Barrique becomes round and mellow in the same barrels previously used for Diciotto Lune, offering a bouquet of blossoms, apricot, and peach.

The Anfora – distilled from 80% red and 20% white Trentino grape varieties – matures in traditional terracotta amphorae and remains remarkably clear, while the Le Diciotto Lune brings notes of vanilla and amber to the glass after 18 months in wooden barrels.

The fifth bottle breaks the mold: roasted coffee beans are infused in Diciotto Lune to create the Liquore Corretto – a grappa-based coffee liqueur, just the way Italy loves it with an espresso. This brings our little journey through Trentino to a sweet conclusion.

Tasting in the right order

A grappa tasting at home is best enjoyed by moving from light to dark: start with the fresh spirits, then move on to the aged ones – and finish with the liqueur.

Begin with the Tradizionale, followed by the Morbida Barrique, the Anfora, and the Diciotto Lune – with the Corretto as a liquid dessert. Five in one go. Whether you make five quiet evenings out of it or one social gathering with four friends is up to you; the small bottles provide a generous pour for everyone at the table.

A family distilling since 1949

Behind these five bottles is the Distilleria Marzadro from Nogaredo in Trentino, in the hinterland of Lake Garda – founded in 1949 by Sabina Marzadro and managed today as a family business.

Fresh pomace from local winegrowers is still distilled in a water bath, and the palate of master distiller Andrea Marzadro still decides when a spirit is ready. This is exactly the signature you can taste through all five miniatures – sometimes fresh, sometimes aged, sometimes with coffee at its heart.

Younger ones cooler, aged ones at room temperature

The young grappas in the set can handle a bit more chill, while the aged ones should be served at room temperature – this allows each miniature to show its true character.
