Pink chocolate bunny by Fesey chocolate figures with perked-up ears

The pink chocolate bunny by Fesey chocolate figures perks up its ears, making it look rounder and younger than the larger shapes in the range. The 70 grams of milk chocolate are wrapped in pink foil, which has been applied by hand around the figure.

Pink chocolate bunny is the smallest bunny mold among the chocolate figures from Fesey in Riemerling near Munich and comes from its own, more compact tool. The pink is softer and milkier than that of the large bunny, reminiscent of almond blossoms just before they bloom.

This size is the answer for multiple nests instead of just one. Among Fesey's chocolate figures, it is the format where three can fit side-by-side. For a round at the Easter table, as a greeting next to the place setting, and for a child's room, a small bunny is perfectly sufficient, whereas the heavier sibling quickly becomes a show-stealer.

Rounded back and perked-up ears

The ears on this bunny stand upright and tilt only slightly backward, giving it an alert, almost curious expression. The back is arched, the chest sits broad on the front legs, and the hind leg protrudes as a round curve. The pink appears lighter on this shape because the smooth surfaces cast hardly any shadows.

This clearly distinguishes it from the 90-gram pink Easter bunny, whose ears lie flat against its neck. Those who place both side-by-side will see two different bunny shapes and two different shades of pink from the same maker. Neither wears a satin ribbon; that is reserved for the heaviest version. Instead, this bunny can be carried in one hand when a child takes it through the garden.

The small shape is the least forgiving

The same amount of care is spread over 70 grams as it is over a figure three times as heavy, but on significantly less surface area. An unevenness in the wall is immediately noticeable here, and there is also less paper left over when wrapping, which could otherwise hide a crease.

That is why work on these small chocolate figures is slower than on the large molds. Each figure is lifted out of the mold individually after cooling and then wrapped by hand, which is why no two bunnies are exactly alike down to the last fold.

Soft melt from mild milk chocolate

Under the foil is the same milk chocolate as in the large figures, with at least 37 percent cocoa content and cocoa butter listed before cocoa mass in the ingredients. It melts quickly, remains mild, and finishes without any bitter edge. Because the wall is positioned on a narrower surface here, it yields even sooner when broken off.

A bunny of this size is finished in two sittings, making it the most honest format in the range. It wants to be kept cool and in the shade, and it repays a dark shelf with unblemished shine. Yet, alongside coffee on a Sunday afternoon, it usually disappears in a single sitting. It likes heat the least, as that is the first thing to steal the shine from the pink paper.

The matching neighbors can be found on the Easter shelf, it works as a small greeting among the gifts, and the chocolate figures from Riemerling range from flat embossed angels to lying lambs. Three small bunnies in three colors take up less space together than one large figure and fill three nests instead of just one.

Fesey
